Get Involved in San Juan College!

Take your college experience to the next level with SJC's student clubs and organizations! With 20+ groups to join, there's a place for you to learn, volunteer, play, and grow. 

Want to step up and lead? Then join one of our student organizations. You'll help plan and coordinate campus and community events, setting the tone for life at SJC. You can also join one of our student clubs to connect with others who share your academic and personal interests. Student Organizations

Represent fellow students and make an impact on SJC by joining a student organization. You'll have the chance to grow your leadership skills and help shape campus life in a meaningful way.

Plan and host student activities and campus events by joining the Campus Activity Board (CAB). Work closely with the Office of Student Engagement and Campus Life to host exciting activities and help create a vibrant environment at SJC.

Represent the voice of the students by joining the Associated Students of San Juan College. You will be a part of our student government and make decisions that affect the SJC campus.

ANLA is a vibrant student-led organization that actively collaborates with the Native American Center. Together, they bring to life a variety of events, including the annual Powwow and Gourd Dance, the Miss Indigenous Pageant, and numerous other cultural celebrations. Make Smiles Brighter

Join the Student American Dental Hygienists' Association as they provide free dental care to children in our community at our regular the "Give Kids a Smile Day" events. You'll help with cleanings and create lasting oral health habits.

This spring semester, Native InterVarsity will host a Bible study on Tuesdays at 5 p.m. in Mary's Kitchen. We will be studying spiritual formation and mental health.

Special Interest Clubs

Mission Statement:

We believe no one should have to struggle alone. By empowering young adults to speak openly about mental health, we can reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking, and prevent suicides.

Active Minds is a national nonprofit that empowers students to change the conversation about mental health and suicide prevention. We raise awareness, share resources, and inspire action. We are dedicated to saving lives and to building stronger campus communities.

As a chapter, Active Minds at San Juan College is a student-led mental health advocacy group that raises awareness about mental health on campus. We raise funds for critical mental health education programming and resources, promote mental wellness, educate students and educators about the signs and symptoms of mental health disorders, and encourage students who are struggling to reach out and seek help.

Suicide Awareness Walk

Each April we host a Suicide Awareness Walk, in which we remember loved ones lost to suicide. We also provide information to educate the campus and provide resources to help others.

Provide students with gaming activities and promote geekdom in all forces.

SJC Geeks & Gamers is a place where San Juan College students and community members can bond, relieve stress, and have fun. SJC G&G provides a safe and engaging space for people to play video games, board and card games, D&D, as well as talk about anime, science fiction, and fantasy works.

We have a variety of games played each Friday and are looking to add more. Current games in recent weeks have included:

  • Magic the Gathering
  • Mario Kart
  • Mario Party
  • Super Smash Bros.
  • UNO

Our club has several gaming systems and games on hand. If you have a game, we encourage you to bring it! We have game night every Friday in the Student Sun Lounge, Room 1608. The Student Sun Lounge can be accessed through the double doors to the library.

Dungeons and Dragons Game Night

Geeks & Gamers club is excited to present this classic tabletop and role-playing experience to SJC. Everyone is welcome.

Watch for our upcoming D&D Game Nights where everyone is welcome to come learn about and experience this classic tabletop game.

E-sports on campus!

San Juan College Suns ESport Team LogoThe E-sports club is meeting every Thursday from 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Fridays 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM, and Saturday 8:00 Am - 5:00 PM  in the Information Technology Center, room 7228. 

Students have been working together to build teams for League of Legends, Rocket League, and Overwatch 2. The students will compete against other NACE Starleague E-sports league colleges.
